The composition is the artist’s vision of human relationships. The abstraction depicts Taoist ideas through natural motifs, leaving room for the viewer to project his or her own inner world. Clean, metallic, geometric forms and structured, three-dimensional surfaces with energetic lines are the signature motifs of the artist’s series ‘Abstract, Symbolism, Synchronicity’, produced in 2020-2021. The different textures show different faces in response to light, alternating between painted and metallic surfaces to create a thought-provoking, exciting aura around the artwork.
The artist’s vision: yin and yang cannot exist without each other, like night without day. The sun is the male energy, the moon the female energy. The moon reflects the light of the sun.
The rays of the sun represent the different moods of social relationships. The wavering glow embodies the harmony of everyday life, the red glow the attraction, the bright but sometimes worn ray of light the energy of a tiring day, the homogeneous golden surface the perfection, and the dark line the opposing opinions. When two people are attracted to each other, like the red and blue halves of a magnet, they can reach each other through any maze. No matter what obstacles come in their way, the man’s energy and strong attraction will keep the woman on a safe course.
