Flow

Gold. The Web of Wyrd is a symbol of Norse mythology. It represents the interconnectedness of past, present and future. The symbol, made up of nine lines, contains all the Viking runes, symbolizing all possible outcomes of past, present and future. The Web of Wyrd is a metaphor for the weaving of women’s fate, as the Yggdrasil (Tree of Life) at the foot of the Wyrd weaves the thread of our destiny. In our time, it is used as www. and its shape is reminiscent of a DNA chain (a reference to the image of the painting “Pearl”).

Blue represents the “flow”. Life is like a river through which we swim from the past to the future. If we don’t cling to protruding tree roots and swim against the current, our journey will be pleasant. We can swim with the main current, but we can also choose tributaries, all the same, because all rivers head towards the ocean.

The composition is inspired by Lao Tzu’s Tao Te King, a 4th century philosophical and religious book on the teachings of Taoism.
