In the abundance of wandering thoughts we mostly analyze the past or search for the future. But we can also choose to live in the moment, shutting out the outside world and listening to our biorhythms as the blood flows like a stream through our veins, the arteries pulsate like a geyser in our temples, the bronchi in our lungs expand like photosynthesizing plants, and the sip cascades down our esophagus like a waterfall. If we persistently stop to think, after a while the play of light through the vascular network of our closed eyelids becomes like a shadow – an abstraction cast by the tree canopy on the grass.

In her abstract imagery, which evokes the relationship between nature and human, the artist sometimes restricts gestures with geometric forms or the lack of them, and sometimes allows them to flow freely and without constraints, creating a dialogue with the viewer. In her works, she presents the impulses from her environment through her own filter, while seeking answers to the possibilities of integration into the future social order. She believes that every atom of the human body is part of a great energy network, and that the forms, gestures and vibrations of the wilderness vibrate within each of us.

Even as urban people, we coexist with nature. The harmony of chaos is that the result is never boring or predictable. But unfortunately, our moods are not as predictable as the soothing rhythms of nature. It certainly depends on our physical and mental state. The effects of the forces of nature on our biorhythms have been known since ancient times, but the anxiety of being compatible with the social order around us and competing with robotics is a contemporary challenge. It is difficult to calm down and turn inward in the mental noise that surrounds us and that we create for ourselves. We are all searching for answers to how others see us. Through what lens do we view each other, their environment and the artist? Who tells us whether what we do or how we behave is right or wrong? Are we good enough, or even flawless enough, that they won’t want to replace us with a programmable and flawlessly functioning machine? Do we have to follow the rules, be harmonious, precise and orderly at all times, or can we allow ourselves to be erratic, unpredictable, chaotic?

The glaze allegory in the title refers to the final element of ceramic works as a mask that we put on ourselves if we wish to be socially accepted. We have artificial intelligence breathing down our necks and we are trying to meet the perceived or real expectations placed on us. The artworks on show are windows into the viewer’s own mind to help them decide: do they want to be part of this race or do they choose to turn back to nature? The survival of human beings depends on collective consciousness. Let us look inwards, for the miracle of biology is still ours.
