Padme performance (15.04.2023)

On 15.04.2023, we presented our first collab with the emerging designer Zsofia Kovacs at the Optika Hungary 2023 conference fashion show in Pavilion B of Millenáris, Budapest.

The curator and lead stylist of the show,E dit Somogyvári, who dreamed up the whole show, did an amazing job and created more than 60 monochrome outfits with matching optical frames and sunglasses.

The white silk finale dress with all the colors of the rainbow was designed by Zsófi and me for more than a month. Our task was to create a dramatic finale outfit around which the glasses and matching outfits that would appear in the show could be arranged. The message: a special pair of glasses can turn anyone into a work of art.

The painting on the costume is called Padme, based on a 140×170 cm large acrylic on canvas abstract work that is a continuation of my painting called Reflection back in 2021. A harmonious and balanced interior beautifies the exterior, so I created an energy grid depicting the relationship of the chakras with their assigned colors.

The eponym is Princess Amidala from Star Wars, as I imagined the dress on her.

The organizers of the conference, Zsófi and Arnold, owners of Thinwood tailor made eyewear brand, with whom we had an exciting collaboration in November 2022, professionally executed the event.

Once again it was an inspiring job, nonetheless a brilliant experience to see our model in the floating silk elegantly marching down the catwalk and bringing our work to life.
